Robert Noyce
My first sailboat race was on Spa Creek in a Cadet, about 1956. We had to dodge the old Stearman amphibious biplanes that the midshipmen flew for training. Annapolis was a small town when I helped to build a Windmill class design in 1963. I was bitten early by the boat building bug. Amazed and satisfied by what you could do with mahogany, spruce and resorcinol glue I decided to stick with it! I worked as an apprentice sailmaker at Charles Ulmer Sailmakers. After my training at the Ulmer loft I began a long career of working for myself. Curiosity about sewing, bending and welding metal allowed me to develop a company that specialized in canvas design and fabrication, rigging and spar building With the changing market I began to design and fabricate structures for sport fisherman. I continued to gain more experience in yacht building. In 1979 I was given the opportunity to travel to Asia to oversee the construction of sailboats and eventually power boats. I have worked there continuously and I am familiar with nearly all long living factories throughout the Pacific Rim. Spending time in Asia and the US I developed R. A. Noyce & Associates an International Yacht Survey company. I am proud to have worked with three of the most successful and competent surveyors in the US and I still have associates in Taiwan and China that share inspection responsibilities with me.
Allow me to share my experience and skill with you to develop or find the ideal boat for you! At NOYCE YACHTS we truly have a "pasion for boats." Call Robert on his mobile phone 410-703-5380, or email ranoyce@aol.com

Bill Yates
Bill was born in Baltimore, MD. Bill's father as a boat builder, the apple has not fallen far from the tree. Bill has been very active boating on the Chesapeake Bay since his childhood. His love for the water is shared by his wife and soulmate Carol.
Sanctioned racing a J30 for two years with the Rock Creek Sailing Association meant meeting a worthy group of adventurers. Realizing how important claiming precious time together is, they decided to live their passion.
In 1998 Bill and Carol sold their house and belongings and left to fulfill their cruising dreams. They helped to develop the perfect Mason 44 to be built by Ta Shing, sister company to Tayana. Before they escaped and went cruising the East Coast, Bermuda, Bahamas and the Caribbean to Trinidad and back, Bill owned and operated a hair salon with 17 employees. His unique people skills and interest in buying homes and remodeling them for resale was a perfect course for transitioning to yacht consulting. His passion to find the right boat for the right owner is priceless.
Coming back to Baltimore in 2003, Bill decided to use all of his boating and cruising experience and become a yacht broker. He and Carol lived on their Mason for ten years. Sharing this life style experience is a bonus for his customers. Bill and Carol still own and sail regularly around the east coast. They are also available for instruction and for deliveries.
NOYCE YACHTS is fortunate to have a team like Bill and Carol. Call Bill for experienced help and advice on listing your boat for sale and for your next yacht purchase.
